Allow upload of SVG Graphics

Right now, the division logos, avatar logos, etc that you can upload are restricted to being GIF, JPG, or PNG files. Now that MFL supports responsive design, one has to think about scaleable graphics a lot more. It would be really nice if we could upload SVG graphic files, because they would scale better.

 

I would guess that this is either a really trivial fix or a really, really complex one depending on what happens on the back-end. If it is really trivial, it would be nice to see this change.

i uploaded a league logo and franchise icons with svg file extensions

 

file size much smaller and cleaner on mobiles

 

i'll ask Tony if he can make this file extension allowed for upload , for those that dont have any image hosting

 

 

its easy to convert your psd to svg if you dont know how to build in illustrator

There's a concern that it would be possible to introduce nefarious SVG images that have exploits embedded in the XML.

 

svg has security issues if allowing users to upload , so they will not be permitting it

I did not realize the vulnerabilities present in SVGs right now. Makes sense.
